Chapter One

The Early Entrepreneur

At 25, I purchased a struggling variety store and doubled its profits within one year. At the same time, I worked part-time as an occasional teacher and sold encyclopedias door to door for World Book, becoming one of the company's top salespeople in less than three months.

Those early experiences taught me a lesson that has stayed with me throughout my life:

With the right mindset, a willingness to learn, and consistent effort, remarkable things are possible.

Chapter Two

A Passion for Learning

Education has always been important to me. I graduated with honours in three university degrees in Psychology, Education, and Applied Psychology through studies at Laurentian University and the University of Toronto.

My academic journey deepened my understanding of:

  • Human behaviour
  • Motivation
  • Learning
  • Personal growth

This knowledge continues to shape both my business and coaching philosophy today.

Chapter Three

Lessons Beyond Business

Some of my proudest accomplishments have little to do with business or education.

At age 21, I earned my black belt in martial arts — an achievement that taught me discipline, perseverance, and resilience.

Above all else, I am most proud of my children. One became an entrepreneur, carrying forward the spirit of innovation and independence. The other dedicated their career to helping people find housing and support through the City of North Bay.

Seeing them become compassionate and successful adults has been one of life's greatest rewards.

Chapter Four

Life's Challenges and Growth

Life has not always been easy.

Like many people, I have faced significant personal challenges and periods of profound change. Some experiences reshaped the direction of my life and led me on a journey of deeper self-awareness and spiritual growth.

Those experiences gave me something that cannot be learned from textbooks alone:

Perspective
Empathy
Resilience

A genuine understanding of what it means to rebuild and reinvent yourself.

Chapter Five

Why I Do This Today

Today, at 63 years old, I believe I bring together something unique:

  • A lifetime of business experience
  • A deep understanding of people and human potential
  • The wisdom gained through both successes and setbacks

My passion now is helping entrepreneurs and individuals who are just beginning their journeys — showing them that it is never too late to learn, grow, and build something meaningful.

In Their Words

If the people who know me best were asked to describe me, I hope they would say I am:

Let's build something meaningful — together.
